Derbados caused quite a storm in the cycling world when HUUB Wattbike, the Derby-based track cycling team, referred to their home and training base as ā€˜The Peopleā€™s Republic of Derbadosā€™. Derbados was the name for the team's nation because the UCI didn't allow them to compete under GB during their attack on the global track cycling scene.
